The Home

This home is a registered Nursing Home which provides nursing care for up to 32 patients. The nursing home is located on the ground floor of the building and a residential care home occupies the first floor of the same building. The address for this home is 173 Moira Road, Lisburn, BT28 1RW.

The Role

To provide high-quality person-centred care to the residents of the home, supporting with their everyday needs and contributing to their enjoyment of life.

The twilight shift is 4pm to 10pm.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
  • Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved
  • Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing and going to the toilet
  • Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognising changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families

You will need:

  • To be a good listener, showing patience, compassion, empathy and understanding
  • A good standard of written and oral English
  • Experience in Health and Social Care not required as full training will be provided
  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • Be NISCC registered or eligible to register
